when the boost kicks. You can drive it everyday but you have to learn to always be in a lower gear to take advantage of your turbos. These turbos are good for the track and top end. : Ok I have seen a few people talking about putting these turbos in there Zs. I have a few Questions. When ever I pick up a magz. with a high HP turbo car, they almost always have the HKS 3825BB turbos in there, weather it be a supra or a skyline, well I was wondering just what kinda of power do the skyline and supra get out of these turbos. And what kind of power will a Z get out of these turbos. Also what RPM does the boost kick in. I know that boost kicks in sooner at higher RMPs just because the motor is producing more gas out the exhaust. Example in 1st gear boost kicks your head back around 3000 but in 4th or 5th boost will build as soon as you press the gas. So in what gear and what RPM will boost begin to build on the 2835s? Now if a Z is getting the 2835s on it, one has to asume that the motor has been properly built, so considering that as a givin, what kind of #s are we looking at for a Z with 2835s on it, could it be a realistic daily driver or just a ass beater for saturday nights? And are the 2835s a drag turbo, a stree/highway racing turbo, autocross, or a good mix of lots of power for all the above for a well rounded turbo car? And one last Q since I hear soooo much about these turbos on supra and skylines, and now soon will be some Zs, crazy ass power they make, are they the hailmary of turbos? : Just asking, and Im sure others would like to know too. : And yes I know my grammer and spelling is horrible, but I could care less, I had a long day at work, and now I just want to get my Qs out to find out about some Zs that are going to put to shame anything that dares pull up to it.
